How can I block someone on Tandem?
Some users don’t want to be visible to others in the community. Tandem allows users to block any users in their community. Here are the methods to block someone
From their Profile
- Go to the user’s Profile you want to block
- Tap the warning mark (!) in the top right corner
- Select Block.
From the Chat
- To block a member from the chat
- Click on the three dots button in the top right corner
- Then tap Block.

Why did I ban from Tandem?
Each user has the right to report any users in the Tandem. People ban from Tandem because another Tandem member reported them for breaking the Tandem Community Principles.
According to Tandem, Each user can report if someone is not abiding by the Tandem Community Principles. Then, the Community Safety Team will review the evidence and decide to ban your account.
How can I report someone?
Users have the right to report to someone; there are two ways to report someone on Tandem
On the screen where you are chatting
To report a member from the chat with them:
- Click the three dots button in the top right-hand corner.
- Proceed and tap Report (name of the member).
- Choose any one reason you are reporting the person.
- Lastly, click the Report to Tandem button to make your Report.
On their ProfileProfile:
- Click the warning mark (!) in the top right-hand corner.
- Choose any one reason you are reporting the person.
- Lastly, click the Report to Tandem button to make your Report.
Note, when reporting someone to the Tandem Team, you should attach your conversation history as evidence when making the Report. Then the community Team will review each Report. Suppose there is evidence that the member you reported acted against any of the Community Principles. They will warn them, or their account will be banned.
